I posted this on Tumblr but i'm afraid no one has seen it.
I was notified by a friend that findthestarlight.com now needs a passcode to be entered. When I looked more in depth, I noticed that all of findthestarlight's (M's) posts that are tagged findthestarlight or otherwise have completely disappeared. None of his posts exist anymore.
I think M has left us. At least on Tumblr. I need you all to know this, I think it is incredibly important before we all move on with the poem.

Maybe M hasn't disappeared completely, but he seems to have left the Tumblr universe.
(Edit: Which I already said. Sorry, it's been a long day)

He's not gone... just waiting patiently for us to solve the password.

so scary. But also i think necessary. He was babying us along the last few steps. and also, that makes sense! Did he mention something about the password before he "left?"

I am guessing that the password is the answer to the poem.

I noticed this earlier and wondered. I too figured it was part of the puzzle?

It would appear that the site is back, but a ton of posts have gone missing. What do you guys think? Genuine, out-of-game technical difficulties? Or has M just cleaned up the site so we can only see the essential posts for solving the current puzzle?
Or is the limited number of posts just on my end?

I think he cleaned up the post-archives, deleted things.

...I wasn't sure where or if I should make a new thread for this, but are we at any point going to discuss the fact that M posted a picture of something that looks like it could be his suicide note on Tumblr?

yeah... we haven't really gone over that, have we. i think the feeling was that it might be a "i'm frustrated" post... the "letters in the lining" were misplaced, and right after that revelation, the picture showed up. i guess i'm hoping it was just an artistic "apology," but you're right that it may be more. i'm not sure?

I mean, the imagery of the spilled bottle of pills on a letter which ends with "I'm sorry. -M" is a little disconcerting and ominous. I don't know how the story progresses if M's gone, so based on that it might be just something like what you said. But didn't he warn about that earlier at some point? That there would come a time where he wouldn't be around to help anymore?
I really wish he hadn't cleaned out so many of the "Ask" posts, on a side note. I really liked some of the posts that seem to be gone now, such as the bicycle/swimming pool analogies and the one involving "Teach Me How to Dougie", etc.

If you look up the FTS site with a web archive site, you can find those old asks. I remember visiting the page a couple weeks ago, and I think their latest "snapshot" was of the site in July or August.

yeah, some of them were great. i hope you can find them with the suggestions given! also, i agree they look like pills, which is pretty ominous, but they're actually matchstick heads (i think probably from the "sticks" he included in some of the vials), so it's possibly not quite as dark as it seems.

Oh wow, I'd never have noticed that if you hadn't pointed it out. Still, the bottle next to them seems to be a pill bottle, and the implications of the image are still rather dark.
And yeah, I know that they're available through Archive, it's just a shame that they would be missed by any newcomers who are catching up now.
Speaking of which, I remember M mentioned at some point that once the story is finished, it may be distributed in a slightly more digestible format of some sort so that people who didn't want to or weren't able to actually participate could still get the story. I took this to indicate that he might publish the main story as a book after it's all done- if so, I'd hope he might include some of the non-story Tumblr posts like some of the Ask interactions, even if not all of the actual puzzles and interactive elements.
