So now that we know the path leads us to a Minecraft server [72.51.46.156:26665 was what BustedClutch finally got], it is only set up for one guest at a time*, so, we did a little exploring using Twitch.tv's Broadcast mode (thanks, ohhoe) so that everyone could watch... sadly, we ended up in a hole. Literally. Twice. And this particular server is set up so that we can't do the usual "starve yourself to death and start over" ploy. Any assistance from Minecraft aficionados would be most welcome now! Of special note in the play area M has created for us is a huge vertical wall of water, in addition to the usual bodies of water. "Don't pass the water," say the signs everywhere. I'm actually wondering if that means "don't pass by the water, [go through it instead]." UPDATE: Hours later, I'm still awake and kind of obsessed with that being the solution. I think we walk through the water wall.
*Please join us in chat if you're going in, so we can arrange taking turns and sharing the information we find (both by reporting back, or better still, by using desktop broadcasters like Twitch)

which... i never would have guessed. minecraft, that is. anyway, ohhoe logged in and broadcast for us, but we got stuck in a hole, as mentioned above. clutch was nice enough to pass his newly acquired character onto ohhoe so we could all continue our voyeurism, and we came across another hole that we could see light in at night (i might not be wording this well, i've never played or seen anyone play this game before). anyway, we chatted and thought that maybe a torch was at the bottom of this tunnel that we could see light in, and took a vote to jump or not jump. we jumped. it was dark. and we were stuck once again, even after we shook our sugar cane.
the end. (for now)

i've been searching all over the interwebs for how to get these guys out of their holes. (i feel kinda bad that this new puzzle has come to a halt so quickly). though i don't have any solutions yet (besides resetting the server, which i don't think we have access to), i did come across pointers about building shelters, and that you can build shelters underwater? not trying to get any more people stuck here, but, it does make me wonder about going "into" water instead of "by" it, though i do not understand how to get into water to build a house in the first place as i don't quite 'get' this game. but, throwing it out there. (though with our luck, there will be a damn hole in a puddle of water)

(though with our luck, there will be a damn hole in a puddle of water) That's what I'm counting on. Or more like a hole in the wall. I don't think we'll need to build anything... just pass through some kind of portal [again, my hunch is it's in the water wall] where we'll find M, something from him marking the way out, or the next set of crazy clues. I just don't think he'd expect us to now drop everything and learn to be good at this game (or even really "get" it) in order to move on. The door is closing, he said. I think he is hoping we don't pass/overlook his message. And I think his message here is don't pass/overlook the water.

You can swim in water until your air and then life run out.
I cannot log into the server as I am not white listed.
Are you guys playing with a demo version somehow? That would explain why only one of you could get on at a time. There can only be one copy of any account on at a time, so that would prevent any duplicate logins of the default Player or Guest account used for a demo. He may have white listed only that default name so as to force one at a time attempts, as well as making it so that no one has to buy the game, but I'm hoping that's an oversight. Hopefully he's also monitoring the server logs to then whitelist those with previous attempts. We'll see if my username becomes white listed later today.
The server is configured to allow 12 concurrent players. But that could be an oversight also, or misdirection.
The welcome message says "Come Join us for the Grand Re-Opening of the Drucker Server!" This is chosen by the server administrator, so it's some sort of a message from M I would guess.

Exicice & I are just in Chat talking about this if you want to join us. That being said, it was Ohhoe who had the actual Minecraft knowledge and could speak to your questions. We did get a screenshot posted here so you can see what the server looked like when Clutch & Ohhoe first logged in.

I'm on no server at all. Trying to log into that server is blocked because it says I'm not white listed.
The people playing have full fledged minecraft/mojang accounts? And a downloaded copy of the game? Maybe he white listed only those in chat? If you guys all created accounts after that, the problem is, I have a preexisting account that doesn't match this username.
So, I'll "play along" from the outside.
Can anyone confirm that you cannot destroy or place blocks? If so, he's got it set to adventure mode, which makes sense. In that case, I'm wondering if the admonition to stay away from the water is actually just to keep the timid away. It's AN ADVENTURE. You can definitely swim. And if it's not adventure mode but instead survival or creative mode, you can have boats (or even fly in creative but I highly doubt he'd let us loose on a creative server - adventure mode is what one uses when you want a curated or directed experience.)

I'm glad we've moved on to the next stage of the puzzle! Good work, everyone. When someone gets a chance, can the chat log be posted? (I didn't see it on the Path thread) I'm intensely curious about how all of this came about.

I second the vote to see how the numbers were reckoned. The structure makes sense though and we were right about the colon.
Back in topic, please disregard my previous post about Drucker server and whitelist and such. I had the port number off. That was M being sneaky I guess in order to make sure the path was fully solved. It was close enough to the MC server default port to look the same at first glance.
Thoughts:
I spawned at night, and saw no mobs. This can be toggled by the server administrator. I'm guessing it's off even though a survival server would default on. Mob spawn likelihood on any block is determined by how much light is cast on that block, so with no torches and at night...I would've expected swarms.
M asked if we wanted a flame. We answered at the time thinking it was regarding the path puzzle. Maybe we answered ahead of time and said (apparently?) no to torches in minecraft. I'd still be cautious of asking for them as he mentioned consequences which could mean mob spawning turned on. In which case we'd be defenseless without the ability to destroy blocks and build shelter and tools.
I thought that maybe an initial spawn radius prevented destruction of blocks, but it seems to be active at least out to the water wall. Since the server is standard and running mods, I guess he's setting each player's game mode to adventure (no destruction) in order to curate the experience but the server itself can still be listed as survival. Not terribly important I guess. Unless he made the wall just inside a particular spawn point protective radius.
The wall was made by placing good blocks in the air and water blocks on top of those. The way water flows, this actually makes two walls with one block of air in between. For those brave enough to defy what appears to be the instruction not to pass through them, though it may mean "don't ignore the water"
As MC is built entirely off of right angles, it is easy to count and MAP objects to a grid. I'd suggest walking out the boundaries of the water wall to see if it makes a sort of aerial symbol. You can press F3 at any time to get your coordinates. X and Z are your plottable axes, Y lists depth with 0 at bedrock and deal even about 62 usually. Max height can be about 256 I think. F3 is great if you get lost also, and it tells you which direction you're facing.
Unless he monitors us here and chat, there's no way that I am aware of by which M could tell if we passed the water (which water by the way? The pools or the wall?) if he means it as do not trespass (as if the jungle tree on the gold alter/fountain is like the forbidden tree of knowledge?). Not without mods. And again, he's running a standard vanilla server.
That's all I've got for now.

Edit: third paragraph of thoughts: the server is standard and NOT running mods.
It's GOLD blocks in the sky, not good.

Gah! Ducking iPhone autocorrect. The coordinates paragraph is supposed to say "sea level" at about 62 usually.
