F5 will give you different views cycling between first person, third person birds eye and a nonsensical except for selfie-type screen shots third person view that looks backward centered on your face.
And you know, since we are supposed to look at things differently, creatively and perhaps non-standardly, perhaps one of those views would be helpful.

Oh come on, I'm pretty good at Minecraft but I have work until 5 pm central time so I'm no help today unless you guys don't get it before I get home. (Which is unlikely, since there's a good chance you'll get it before then.)

For all those that wanted to know how it came about, the full transcript of M's chat room visit which led to the solving of the Follow the Path riddle is now posted here, thx to exicice, btw. (I also submitted it to the Keyhole, because as we know, Tumblr's tracked tags function is a pile of garb, and unless it's there or on the actual FTS Tumblr, 90% of Starlighters probably won't see it.)

M asked if we wanted a flame. We answered at the time thinking it was regarding the path puzzle. Maybe we answered ahead of time and said (apparently?) no to torches in minecraft. I'd still be cautious of asking for them as he mentioned consequences which could mean mob spawning turned on. In which case we'd be defenseless without the ability to destroy blocks and build shelter and tools. i told you guys i wanted to burn stuff!!! ha, kidding. i dunno if 'mobs' would be worth it. thank you jedpeter for breaking all of this down for us! in other news, i found out that our live chat/watch/play is a video: www.justin.tv/loveless/b/466187136 just in case you want to watch the entire disaster unfold thanks ohhoe for live-answering all of our 'i have no idea what's happening' questions as we went along. if ANYONE knows a way to get characters out of these holes, which is what i was trying to figure out for our "round two," i think that would be great. but i still haven't found anything from searching the web. bustedclutch solved the riddle, yet only had but a few minutes to play on the map (they had previously been a total n00b like some of the rest of us, and hadn't played minecraft before) before logging off. now his account is in a hole.

Figures I went to bed off the IRC less than an hour before M showed up. I wanted to be in the presence of greatness! I love Minecraft and hopefully I'll get my chance to go. So nobody can get out of holes because there are restrictions against breaking any blocks? Has anyone tried chat commands to kill themselves to get out?

Someone's been on the server since I woke up this morning about 2 hours ago, so I can't check if M fixed the /kill action.
Whoever is on please check?

User Lolerzz has found a chest in the Minecraft environment, and a "book" with 6 pages of code for us (posted here on Dropbox). Some are suggesting may be a Beale cipher.

Thanks to Lolerzz for discovering and posting that! I like to print stuff out sometimes so I can step away from the computer for a bit, or mark it up with pen, or what-have-you. So, if anyone else is like me, I cropped and combined the pages so it can all be printed on one page.

Bring to the light those who hold each other dear
This definitely makes me think of all those photographs of couples. Has anyone tried blacklighting those photos?

Or is there a book/famous document in any of the pictures?

the only book result for "those who hold each other dear" is The Bhagavadgita
